Now that the year is almost over, it has become apparent that VC investment in Ag Tech, although still relatively high, will not match the total investment from last year. However, Ag Tech and its investors are still pushing the envelope in other ways. Here are some of the newsmakers from the month of November.
The theme of World Food Day 2016 (celebrated on October 16) echoed the ultimate goals of Ag Tech innovation: “Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too.” The FAO presented six facts about the current state of food and agriculture and how climate change is pushing the world towards food insecurity – all of which the Ag Tech industry can help address and mitigate.
